Absolutely, Bea! Not to say that there are no "real things," for certainly there are, but most all those dumb things that circulate as "warnings" are hoaxes. Save one some time. Wait for the next. Compare the wording. They are all basically the same format ... throw in a couple of big computer names (AOL, Microsoft - for authenticity), add "not many people seem to know about it," etc. etc.

Of course, they are passed around innocently enough by those of us who don't know better, but ... even the Anti-Virus Software People have hoax pages on their sites, they're that prevalent! Ah well, life on the Internet!

: Thought I'd pop in and let you know about certain virus warnings. Lately my mailbox was swamped with messages like that and yesterday wasn't any different ( well, I actually I even received a call:))Thanks to my good pal DT I was able to find out that 99% of the warnings are hoaxes. Ilse provided me a neat web-site that can give you all the pertinent info. I posted it below!

: Cheers, Bea
