: : My ancestors (6x greatgrandfather) used to coon hunt with Daniel as teenagers (according to family history) and Daniel Boone was one of the founding fathers of Charleston, WV which was originally called Fort Clendenin (named Charleston after the above ancestor named Charles Clendenin). You wouldn't BELIEVE how many West Viginians I'm related to (about 900 or so according to a book published on the lineage of Charles' son Alexander - my 5xGGF).
