Hello Theresa:

Salem, Va is a town which adjoins Roanoke, VA at the lower end of the Shenandoah Valley on Interstate 81. The mountains are a short distance away and I believe that Graves (or Smith) Mountain Lodge is near there. You may remember this as one of the sites in which they filmed DIRTY DANCING in the mid-1980's.

Have a nice trip. Look forward to hearing your report upon your return.
