A Mohicanland Mystery........

Well, I swear! You never know WHAT the heck's gonna happen around here. First, Miss Marcia keeps me up half the night with her pot-slamming and pan-banging, then she gets herself all trussed up like a turkey in a dress that looked three sizes too small for her & goes flyin' outta here yesterday, then she comes sailing back home again not an hour later, all wrapped up in some heavy, green velvet-looking drapes! (Drapes, of all things! Whadup wid that??) But the real kicker is about a half an hour ago, her evile twin sister, Sassy Soothsayer, showed up on her paisley flying carpet, Ol' Purple. Before I could flit down to a lower branch to see what was happenin', Miss Marcia scurried out the door and climbed aboard Ol' Purple right behind Sassy. She was carryin' a big ol' valise and had a bonnet pulled down low over her eyes, and a scarf pulled up high over her chin. Why, she looked like she didn't want anyone to see her headin' out on that carpet!

Now, I'm not nosy, you understand, but I would just purely LOVE to know what's going on! Why did Miss Marcia come rushing back last night, all flustered and red in the face? And why, of all things, was she wearing a pair of CURTAINS? And where has she snuck off to today in such a stealthy and nefarious manner, with nary a hint to anyone?

All day long, patrons of her Famous DownHome Kitchen have been bangin' on her door, and wonderin' why they couldn't get in for their meals. Some of the more enterprisin' of the lot have been seen peering in windows, and listening at keyholes. And ALL have been very vocal with their cries of dismay at finding her gone!

*chirple, chirple* I'm feelin' a bit sad myownself, not knowing just where our most revered cook and genteel lady has gone. *chirpy, chirpley* Guess I'll go to sleep, and hope for news when I wake up in the morning....chirp, chirp, chirpzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

*Big, deep, important sounding voice here*
