James Fenimore Cooper stuff--One important notice

Hello Friends:

I just saw a notice on C-Span that there is going to be a live presentation from Cooperstown, NY on April 23. The subject will be James Fenimore Cooper's Writings. This is part of C-Span's series on American Writers. This should be interesting.

The other thing: I had just posted an item concerning JFC's "The Spy" when the whole Board got archived. (Rats!) Therefore, I'm asking the question again as to what folks think of Cooper's other works, specifically "The Spy". By the way, Gayle, thank you for your comments.
