March 28, 1759
Raestown Stockade

We have returned to the stockade without incident, and all members of the party are safe. The body of the Tavern Keeper's daughter has been turned over to the townfolk for burial preperation. She was evidently not well liked by all, due to her flirtatious manner, but the ceremony is being planned as if she were a hero. Matthias used the term "Martyr" at one point to describe the part she played in our dealings with Red Bud.

Malcom's cold seems to be improving, as does the weather. He should be back with us in a few days. This day turned out to be warm and sunny, and all of the snow has melted. We saw Robins for the first time yesterday. It was ironic to see them, being one of the signs of Spring and Rebirth, on our journey to retrieve the Lass's body. Maybe we have seen the last of the snow and cold for now.

It seems that Drummer Armstrong and Seamus have been having words. During the trip out and back, they did nothing but chide each other. The argument is over supplies that were to be placed near a tree, but not found by Seamus, Many Flags and ThreeTales. Captain Croy will, no doubt, get involved to squelch the quarrel. It does not seem to be a serious affair, but the subject lingers on.

I must go on watch tonight, and there is little moonlight since Sunday last was the night of the New Moon. At least it is warmer tonight, but that generally means rain is on the way from the West.
