: : : It has come to my realization that yesterday was the birthday of one of Mohicanland's PREMIER Citizens, our own beloved GnomeDome!  How did this day come and go without a plethora of well-wishes from the good folks in our community???  I swear, I don't know.  For myself, my only excuse is Rampant Senility!!  There is no way to turn back the clock and right this wrong, but I do have a few things I want to say PUBLICLY:

: : : Bill, you and I have come a long, long way since our first emails and posts, way back when.  We had a lot of laughs in those first few months, and then a dreadful falling out that turned really unpleasant for all.  But I will never, ever forget the day you came back to the Board and posted what had to be a difficult message, wherein you explained that you had been in a life-threatening situation and had promised yourself that if you lived through it, you would make some wrongs right again.  I thought it was one of the bravest things I'd ever seen, and I remember emailing you back privately immediately to ask if that meant we could be friends again.  You responded promptly, and well...the rest is history.  

: : : You were the person I wanted to meet MOST OF ALL at last year's Gathering, strictly because we had weathered the storm and been made stronger for it.  I couldn't wait to give you a big hug, and if I could, I'd give you a big one right now and ask you to forgive ME for letting your special day pass without acknowledgement!  

: : : I hope your birthday was wonderful, and I wish you MANY, MANY more!  May they all be happy, and may you be blessed every single day!  And THIS year, my friend, I AM going to climb the Cliff Trail with you!  That's a promise!!
