: : March 20th. 1759
: : Raestown Stockade
: : We now have all members of the two search parties with us inside the stockade. Dink and Half Breed came in yesterday with a fat deer and three wild turkeys for us all to share. Many Flags, Seamus, and ThreeTales stumbled in this morning, grumbling and complaining about how they endured the last few days lying in a ditch not more than five hundred yards outside the gate. They are half starved, wet and cold, and in an awful foul mood. They are blaming Malcolm for not calling them in sooner, and talking about a message they shot into the fort with a slingshot. But no one seems to know anything about it.
: : Both parties report hearing strange noises, mostley at night, and conclude these to be from Red Bud and the Shawnee Warriors. Dink and Half Breed saw the Savage more than once in the last week, but did not have a clear shot to "take him out", as they say.
: : Captain Croy has decided we must go out in force to rid the world of this menace, and plan to do so in a day or two, but due to Seamus' grumblings will wait until he has recovered his ordeal in the ditch.
: : Malcolm said Seamus' state of humor and civility are as damp as his breechclout. These Colonists can get on ones' nerves when they act like old women! Cousin or no, Seamus must change his attitude or we will send him back to his woman. We are all ready for a confrontation with this heathen and his band. It has been some time since the men have had an outing, and this chore will suit us fine.

: Oh man, Davey, give Seamus a break!! He's only lately recovered from that terrible wound!! He's really still 'an invalid schoolboy'!! He needs t-i-m-e!!!
: Anyway, bets once he's actually DOING something instead of just lying around in a damp ditch, he's stop his moaning and whinging and will give Red Bud a real run for his money!!
: A little patience, man!
: Miss Katie.

I must agree with Kate. And heaven knows, spending that much time in a damp breechclout would put anyone in a foul humour. It's enough to give a body diaper rash! Given a little rest, I'm sure Seamus will make Red Bud wish he'd never begun his bloody campaign.
