Hi, Caitlin!

I believe you are correct that he says "leave them," but I never got the impression Chingachgook didn't understand English...just that he preferred to converse with Hawkeye & Uncas in Mohican. He never seems to have any trouble following Hawkeye's conversations with others in English, and since he was addressing "leave them" to the girls, that's what he would have used.

Now, back to my concentration here on justifyin' Kate's scene. THEN I'll have to tackle Chris's complaint! GEEEEZE, LEW-STEENKING-WEEEEZE. Everybody's a critic these days!!! *scornful snort!*

*mumble, mumble, tracking...can tell we were there...mumble...must be the PRINTS OUR NIKE-SOLED mocassins are leaving!!! Yeah, that's it...rubber-treaded shoes haven't been invented yet!! May as well just put up a sign,
"TO THE OTTOWA & BOTH YOU STEENKING FRANCAIS: WE WUZ HERE! COME AND GET US, IF YOU DARE!!!" mumble, mutter, DANG movie critics, making me THINK about my wonderful film!!! mutter, mumble, grumble!!!*
