:   This letter is to reintroduce Parsons Welch. You should remember him from our meeting at Fort Frederick last April. Our mapping party was scouting the Wyoming and Lehigh Valleys when we decided to get involved in the search for this notorious native Red Bud. We followed his trail to Sinking Springs Valley, where we spent the last two days gathering more facts to help in our search.

:   Parsons has been sent ahead to warn of an impending attack by Red Bud on any member of the MacWilliam Clan. We have just witnessed the burial of an innocent victim slain by the savage, all due to a misinterpreted name. Parsons will explain the course of events and the particulars of our involvement in this endeavor.

:   We are on the trail south from the Bald Eagle Ridge. We passed through Frankstown and will skirt to the east of The Blue Knob tomorrow, being in Raestown the day after. Alert the outposts of our coming, and have the ale and whiskey at hand.
