Hey Everyone!
Thanks for the great welcome! Okay, answers to various questions...
I'd heard that you could 'fiddle' with the DVD players but I have no idea how to do that or who to ask over here. You know what else sucks about being in Australia? We never got that featurette on 'the making of' on our video version! When I heard there was one, I felt like I was ripped off! Is the featurette on the DVD?
I come from Brisbane in Queensland, I really love my country the only downpoint being the big companies think we're too small to give DVD's to. (I promise I'll stop whinging about this soon *grin*)
I won't be able to come to the gathering this year :( But hopefully you'll have one next year or the year after because I'd love to come to one. One of my favourite parts of the film, though I'd have trouble choosing, is the scenery. It's so beautiful over there!
I'm typing well at the moment but wait a couple of weeks and I'll be as shocking as I normally am! And I can't really do that knuckles on the ground thing...
So what attracted me to LOTM and made it my favourite film? I know I'm gonna miss stuff here so bear with me.
1) I love epics. They're the best type of movies in my opinion.
2) The romance of it all. I'm a hopeless romantic, and there's no cure.
3) The characters. They all had such depth, and I loved it how the 'bad character' Magua, wasn't just bad, he had a reason for how he behaved!
4) The scenery. North Carolina is a beautiful place.
5) The music. I loved all the music they used, especially the music in Kiss/Cliffs.
6) The guys. That probably sounds a bit shallow, but is there anyone on earth hotter than DDL and Eric Schweig were at that time? I think not!
I know I've probably forgotten something but that's the main reason.
Once again, thanks for the welcome!
