: : Hi everyone,
: : I only recently discovered this page and I've loved every minute of that discovery! Being a dedicated Mohican fan, I've never been able to find anyone before now that shares my passion for all things to do with the movie!
: : Are most people on this board from America or Canada? I'm Australian, and envy you all for being able to visit the sites of the movie much more easily than I can. That, and we still don't have LOTM on DVD! Does anyone know who I could contact to find out when or if it will come here? I'm desperate!
: : Hopefully I'll be posting often from now on, just thought I'd say hi and that I've really loved exploring this page!

: Hey Andrea
: Welcome aboard! No, not EVERYONE is from the US or Canada - writing from England here! And don't let the distance deter you......I know you are literally the other side of the world.....but I am getting on a plane for the second year to visit my beloved Mohicanland - and so could you!!
: As far as LOTM on DVD is concerned, well I couldn't wait for it to be released here, so had my player doctored to play Region 1 DVD's - maybe you could do that?
: Anyhoo, keep posting and have FUN FUN FUN!!

Welcome, welcome, Andrea!
It's so nice to have you join us! Like Adele, I too am a 'Brit' but I live on the east coast of Scotland, between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. I was born here, raised in Canada and also lived in Germany for six years, so I guess you could say I'm a bit of a 'mongrel' - the 'Heinz 57' sort, as opposed to YOUR idea of a 'mongrel'! :o)
Can I ask where in Australia YOU are? I worked in Queensland for three months, a couple of years ago - such a WONDERFUL country!! I took a trip to Broken Hill in NSW - the Great Outback - it was JUST FANTASTIC!!!
'Last of the Mohicans' DVD hasn't been released here in Britain yet, but like Adele, I just had my machine 're-jigged' to play DVD's from anywhere in the world. Of course, I did it so I could play 'LOTM' but I rationalised by stating that with family spread around the world, it would make things so much easier in regards to playing all their discs!!! :o)
This will be my 3rd time of hopping on a plane and trekking to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Distance really is no object anymore. Getting to a Gathering involves no more than buying a ticket and packing a suitcase, these days!! So - think about joining us!! It will be the best money you EVER spent!!! I PROMISE you!!
Meanwhile, we'll all look forward to hearing more from you!!
Best wishes,
Kate.
