: : I'm afraid I goofed. Please help me understand, are we sending recipes, or actually making the recipes when we get there? Will there be time to go grocery shopping and where do we cook?

: Dear Ros:
: Sorry for the confusion...here's the deal: Cedar Creek is furnishing our entree for the potluck dinner (fried turkey), as well as all the plates, cutlery and beverages. We (meaning the Gathering attendees)will each bring a dish to share with the others and to round out the meal. You may either bring something with you precooked or get something ready made in Lake Lure (Rich assures me that they do have grocery stores, bakeries and other food type establishments in town)or buy or bring ingredients and craft your concoction at the Geneva the day of the dinner (we do have use of kitchen facilities don't we, Marcia?). I have asked that each participant send me a recipe...either for the dish they are bringing to the potluck, a family favorite recipe, an 18th century recipe, or a recipe indigenous to Mohicanland (Miss Marcia has graciously submitted her recipe for her famous "George Roadkill Armadillo" and I can tell you my mouth is a 'waterin already!). The collected recipes will be given to all the potluck attendees as a souvenir of the event.
: I hope that makes it a bit clearer!
