: : : : I'm interested in the weapons used by Hawkeye and Chingachgook during the filming of LOTM. Not so much the firearms, but the tomahawks and war hammers. I don't actually know what they are called however. Could someone steer me in the right direction? Any info would be very appreciated.

: : : Just what do you want to know about them? I have a collection of flintlock rifles, muskets, tomahawks and warclubs just like the ones used in the movie.

: : I'm interested in starting a small collection. I've always had a fascination with hand held weapons (not particularly firearms however) and find many Native American weapons to be efficient and very effective. I've searched Ebay, but most of what I found appeared to be junk. I don't mind repos or replicas, but would prefer they be of quality. Thanks for responding.

: Marc,
: Keep in touch and I`ll send you imfo on where to get certain weapons. I am currently making a couple of the "gunstock war clubs" and you are more them welcome to one and the price is not to high. I will look up the address of the person making the "ball headed war clubs" and get that to you as well. If there is anything else you need just let me know.

Thanks Clabert! I'm interested in the "gunstock war clubs". Do you have any pics? I live in Fredericksburg, VA. There's an 'ole time metalsmith shop here and the owner/craftsman is very talented. He has a gunstock tomahawk (with a sharp down curved spike on one end) that's quite beautiful. I'm trying to talk him into making one for me. Actually, I think the one he currently has is an original. BTW, sorry to hear about your job. I hope things look up for you. Thanks again...
