Mohican Weapons

I'm interested in the weapons used by Hawkeye and Chingachgook during the filming of LOTM. Not so much the firearms, but the tomahawks and war hammers. I don't actually know what they are called however. Could someone steer me in the right direction? Any info would be very appreciated.
