You may be able to find a product in the local grocery store called "Toasted Dried Sweet Corn" made by a company called "John Cope's Food Products". It is a Pennsylvania product (of course), but may be found in your area. There are a number of recipes on the box (baked corn, stewed corn, and creamed corn), all of which may be suitable.....but not traditional Native American...exactly! It is a wonderful product...if you can find it....and "we" use it right out of the box as a substitute for "parched corn".....which WAS a traditional food for the Eastern Woodland Native Americans.
