: As most of you know by now, I can't accept a credit card payment for accommodations or CRP package, and that probably holds for the rest of the packages (sorry, can't remember). But if you really want to use your card, an option would be to use the card for a cash advance & use that to cover your check or money order. Perhaps that will help some of you!

MMMM,
Guess that I will jump the gun regarding our upcoming eBay discussion. There are some relatively secure online payment otions such as Paypal & Billpoint that will accept Visa, MC or checking accounts and consequently might help alleviate any of the above-mentioned problems. This allows the payer to send monies from either checking or credit card to the end user's e-mail address (individual or business).
Pros:
(1) No more proverbial the check's (lost) in the mail.
(2) The end-recipient does not get to see the sender's credit card number.
(3) First time users get a $5 credit.
(4) Also $5 referral fee for recommned new users that successfully do sign up.
(5) Can save on postage.
Con(s):
(1) Very minor transaction fee such as base rate of $0.30 (& minimum 1.6% for over $15 orders) to the end recipient.
(2) Limited International orders (for Paypal).
$hould really try to avoid any ca$h advance$ again$t your credit card. The exorbitant loan $hark credit card intere$t rate$ take effect immediately (there i$ no 30 day grace period like there i$ for regular charge$). Might al$o be $ome compounding intere$t on re$idual interest from previous balance from the cash advance and might have to pay minimum balance charges by the credit card companies. $uffice to say it can get very ugly. Once again TRY TO AVOID CREDIT CARD CA$H ADVANCE$ AT ALL COST$!!!
Hope this helps some fellow Mohicanites!
