No truth to this rumor. The war club, thrown by Mohican Chingachgook, was crafted by a man named Jim Yelloweagle. Your confusion MIGHT arise from a couple of statements made here on this Web Site ... Russell Means (Chingachgook) stated the war club was based on a piece Michael Mann had SEEN in a museum. The late Mike Phillips (Sachem) also made reference to an ACTUAL prop Mann had brought in from a museum for the Huron Village scene. It was not the war club!
