: "Scots wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
: Scots wham Bruce has aften led,
: Welcome to your gory bed
: Or to Victorie.

: Now's the day, and now's the hour;
: See the front o' battle lour!
: See approach proud Edward's power -
: Chains and slaverie!"

: Ahhhh, Huggy, on this day of all days, ye should be quoting Robert Burns. 'Tis his birthday today, the year being 1759, and we Scots remember him with awe, a man of fine words, a man who enjoyed life to the fullest, who revered the female wiles, romance and good Scotch (bad Scotch, too!!). So, read my favorite Burns' poem today...Tam O'Shanter... and enjoy life!! ("Weel done, Cutty Sark!")

: "My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
: My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer;
: A-Chasing the wild deer; and following the roe,
: My heart's in the Highlands wherever I go."

: Slante' mhath! pax Aye!

: Dr. Uncle Mark (with a toast of the "water of life" from Cpl. MacWilliam)

That's right Dr. Uncle Mark! I attended my first Robert Burns Celebration Dinner with a roomful of Scots and even tried a wee bit o' haggis. Hmmmmm, not TOO bad, just glad it's not a staple here! I'll add another little portion of a Burn's poem Green Grow the Rashes, that this lass is a little partial to.

Auld Nature swears, the lovely dears
Her noblest work she classes, O;
Her 'prentice han' she tried on man.
And then she made the lasses, O!

Slainte Mhath,
Diana
