: : Thanks for the Sunday update, Rich.  The newest screen captures (and ALL of them) are wonderful.  I'm going to make some nice Outlook Express stationery with a couple of them for my emails.

: : As for the Gathering accommodations, as Rich has said, we will have something for EVERYONE this year.  Please, PLEASE consider this!  I have reserved the entire motel, and really want to fill every room, for several reasons.  First of all, if we have the whole place to ourselves, we should have NO complaints about our nightly campfires & gab sessions.  We can visit each other in our rooms, at the gazebo, at the outdoor Bar & Grill (a great place for a light dinner or snacks, & beer or wine, overlooking the Rocky Broad River), or in the Conference Room, where all the Show & Tell items & Raffles will be laid out for display.  

: : Secondly, we get a discount on our room rates, based on the assumption that we will fill the place to the rafters.  

: : And third, because we will have private accommodations & group accommodations of every type available this year, I can't think of a single reason for anyone to stay elsewhere.  There will be rooms for singles, rooms for couples, rooms for sisters (hehe), and two apartments that each sleep 7, for those of us wanting more company.  The units there sleep 1, 2, 4 or 7, in other words, and should accommodate our entire group.  

: : There will be something going on every evening there for those who wish to be social.  For those who want an early night's sleep, your bed will be ready when you are.  I can't think of a better arrangement for our group, so again, please consider this.  And don't forget, we will have our reenactors there on Friday & Saturday nights.  That four-acre piece of property right on the river will see lots of action during this Gathering, sartain!

: Ok....picture this........I have a mongrel (a Heinz 57 we call them here!), probably the cutest thing you have ever seen....a cross between a Red Setter and Heaven knows what.  He is also the dopiest creature that ever walked this planet - he had a brain cell once but it died of boredom.....you know the kind of hound I mean!  Anyway, we just put down a wood laminate floor in our hall....if you are wondering what the point of all of this is, well, be patient, I am getting there.  Now our fruitcake of a dog has always gone completely ballistic when a) someone comes to the front door or b) he is going out for a walk.  We used to have a carpet on the floor and the dog would have no problem running full pelt to the door at 90 mph, barking excitedly, wagging his tail and slobbering all over the floor.  Well, now that we have this wood floor......it is a different ball game.  Picture this.....a very daft, large hound flailing about, legs going nineteen to the dozen, still barking, wagging and dribbling.........and going absolutely nowhere.  And my point is.....well, that is EXACTLY what I look like right now, in anticipation of the gathering!!!
