: : : : : English cavalry sergeant Philip Astley staged the first modern circus, performing elaborate feats on the backs of horses racing around a ring. Giant tent shows toured America throughout the nineteenth century, while smaller circuses flourished worldwide. The last major additions were flying trapeze and high-wire acts, introduced around 1860.

: LOVE your disclaimer Huggy...got to agree with Diana S. on this one. Tryin' hard not to become the bug on the windshield of life..MY big problem is to try to remember to do all the stuff I put off UNTIL today...
