Well, late last night, a forest runner appeared at our door ... figuratively. It appears our "Mystery Guest" will be in touch soon to discuss particulars and see if we can work out something for the Gathering.
Now, before you go and get all excited, let me say that at this point, I have NO idea whether or not this will pan out. We'll be workin' on it though!
Why don't I just go ahead and announce who it might be you ask? The reason is twofold. One, I don't want to get you all excited with a NAME, only for him/her not to come in the end, and two, we want this to be a Great MOHICAN(S) Gathering, not a fan club convention for a particular actor/actress ... so, it's best this way, I think. Okay, okay ... ONE hint: He/she was in "The Last of the Mohicans"!
While we're on the Gathering subject ... it's not far off, honest, and it goes FAST. As someone said in an e-mail, "How come it seems a lot closer on Jan 1 than it did on Dec 31?" I don't know the answer to that, but I do know it'll be here before you know it. So ...
Decide if you're coming & start your planning! Get in touch with Marcia if you'll be contributing to the raffle; get in touch with Kate if you'll be contributing to Ariel's Auction. Start thinking about what you'll be adding to the Pot Luck (you will need to commit to something upon signing up), start, or finish, saving those pennies (sign-ups begin Feb. 1) and begin to walk that extra mile in preparation for the Trail!
