: : Well.... its been a loooooong time since i've posted!  how is everyone doing?  I've lost the hardrive on my computer TWICE which hasn't helped much.  Well... a lot has changed for me since the Gathering... as some of you know my grandpa wasn't doing so well when we all came down for the Gathering this past June.  In August, my grandma passed on and just a few weeks after that my grandpa went too.  And since i was one of the people who had to carry the casket... i cut my hair.  Let me tell you... its been one hard summer this past year!  But things are looking better and I'm still planning on being at the Gathering this June.  I cant wait to see you all again!!!

:      I am so sorry about your grandparents.  It is sooo difficult to lose two of them so close together; really turns your life in a different direction.  As for the hair, as you said, it will grow again.  That's interesting, because in some cultures, mourners do cut their hair in respect for the deceased.  So wear the short hair as a badge of honor for your grandparents as well as a gesture to modern times and what is expected of a pallbearer.
