: : Hi All:

: : Happy New Year to Everybody!

: Good to see you again, Norm ... it's been awhile!

: : Regarding "Revolution", ...Yes, it sucks.

: Aw c'mon ... not that bad. I kind of enjoyed it, and it does have some striking similarities to LOTM in spots. My favorite scene is when the young lady Patriot, forced to entertain English aristocrats at her Tory family's home, sticks a poor fellow in the "lap" with a rather large pin after he got just a tad too frisky.

: : No comparision to
: : "The Patriot"...which I happen to LOVE!!! I don't know why so
: : many people in here trash that movie.

: No, not as good, but still, I feel "The Patriot" could have, and should have, been a lot better.
:
: : If you want to see a great period movie, go see "Gladiator"...
: : what an excellent movie!!....

: Agreed! Superb. One of my favorites.

: :And later on this year "Pearl Harbor" will be out. I saw "Gettysburg" this weekend, on DVD.

: Ah, Gettysburg on DVD! Watched it a couple of weeks ago. It's like watching history unfold before your eyes. Pickett's Charge is one of the all-time best moments on film, I think! And Randy Edelman's score is outstanding!

: : If you a player, buy it! It's unbelievable....

: Agreed!

: :
: : Anyways, see you soon, Norm

: Soon??? Hope so!

: I couldn't resist sharing one of my favorite bits of movie trivia. The unfortunate British officer who gets stuck by Nastasia Kinsky is none other than the multi-talented Richard O'Brien, creator, author, director, and co-star (as Riff-Raff) of "The Rocky Horror Show" and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show".
