Ladies, prepare yourselves.
Anybody who's awaiting DDL's next turn on the screen in "Gangs of New York" next year should not be looking for Hawkie-Poo. Or Newland Archer. Or even MLF.
Nope, here's what we can look forward to, according to a message board posting I saw earlier today:
US Magazine this week has an item called "My Left Eye"-- "Daniel Day-Lewis's new look might scare some of his female fans.
The actor, who is just returning to the business after a four-year hiatus, might not be recognized in GANGS OF NEW YORK,
now shooting in Rome. In the film, set in the nineteenth century, he plays Bill the Butcher, a glass-eyed gang leader, along side
Leonardo DiCaprio. Day-Lewis recently visited celebrity opthalmologist Mitch Cassell in his New York office to be outfitted
with a specially designed contact lens that bears the emblem of a bald eagle with a red, white and blue banner."

And you thought those scary contacts Michael Jackson wore in the "Thriller" video were bad....yee Gads....
