: : : : A duvet for me, a duvet for me
: : : : If ye havena a duvet, yer nae use tae me,
: : : : The Black Watch is braw, the Seaforth and a'
: : : : But a bonnie wee duvet's the best o' them a'!

: : : : Miss Katie,
: : : : Miss Katie's Quilt Shoppe, (just a wee plug, dontcha know! :o)

: : :
: : : Hey Miss Katie,

: : : Not to bust up your quiltin' and duvetin' talk, but I just had to let you know that Cecelia and I got to see the wonderful Black Watch Pipe and Drum Corp and Prince of Wales Band and Choir just the other night. They played songs of Ireland, England, and of course Scotland. These were some of the most MAGNIFICANT FELLOWS I've seen in some time. And you know, there is a girlie or two partial to the kilted boys around here. And oh, when the highland dancers came out...WOW. Celia and I totally embarrassed my wee daughter by going on and on about how flouncy them kilts were, especially during the one sword dance...just poppin' up on every turn. We weren't quite sure what we glanced underneath, but it shaw won't no American drawers (pronounced 'draws').Mmmm, mmmm, mmmmm!!!! Awfully, um,...cheeky! Ohhhh, and the music was delightful too! Yeah, ...that's it...the music was the best part! Whew! That Drum Major was quite the fodder for some swoon-some daydreams, I'm here to told ya! Seriously, they were magnificent. We had a blast!...and thought of you, of course!

: : : Diana

: : MISS DIANA, you speak the words o'me own heart, friend! I got to see the Black Watch last Monday night and am still recovering from the experience. The music, of course, WAS the most inspiring and beautiful part, but those LADDIES. My Lord, I was nae prepared for the sight that met my eyes...rows and rows of the finest kilted specimens this side of Edinburgh...and then at INTERMISSION several of the kilted wonders were OUT IN THE LOBBY havin' a wee ale and signin' autographs. And I, of course, have to walk by them looking like a drowned rat in blue jeans because it was the day we got hit by tornadic thunderstorms all day...but just the lookin' was worth it! Glad to know ye also appreciated the dancin' as much as I did!!!! And afterwards, as I walked out, I saw the buses where they all were headin'. Made me wonder if they've ever been greeted by a Southern "kilt groupie!"
: : but OF COURSE the music was the main draw...
: : yours in mutual appreciation o'yon kilted wonders,
: : christina

: Christina DARLIN',

: We must've seen them the very night before you. If I'd known we were sendin' your way, I'da prepared ye! We DEFINATELY have coinciding tastes and a sure mutual appreciation of the magnificence of a kilted male figure. In Dana's words..."Man, Oh Man!" How'd ya like Hector the Hero and of course, Amazing Grace on the lone bagpipe. Awesome stuff!!!

: Ye jus' canny keep a Carolina Scottish lass down,
: when the kilted laddies come to town!

: Slainte, Christina,
: Diana

Oh you lucky ladies!! Indeed you CAN'T beat those 'MAGNIFICENT FELLOWS' (or 'BRAW LADS, as we would say), in their swinging kilts (apart from Mohicans in a breechclout!), particularly during a quick little 'pas de bas'!! :o) Yup, that 8 yards o' tartan can surely 'flouce' nicely at every turn!! Oh! What you saw underneath is ANYONE'S guess - but, *I* have my theory! *blush*

OF COURSE, it was the music that 'made it' for you, Diana!! Can't think what else it COULD have been ... (and I came up Lake James on a Banana Boat - NOT!) :o)

Kate.
(PS - And wasn't my Grandpa and uncles members of the Black Watch during the war and another a Seaforth Highlander?!! By the way, you had to have 'good knees' to get in! :o)
