Well, the only and best way I can explain "Red" is...she's not REALLY directly connected with any of Cooper's novels specifically, but I'm imagining there WERE tavern wenches about at least in the background in some of 'em,correct? And there certainly are in every novel/movie I see from the era...so I like to think of "Red" as somebody from the 18th century who has allowed me to channel her...hey, the 21st century can never have too many wench blouses, right?
