I agree with MMMM, Christina ... Scotland would have been nice! This is our 10th Christmas in Mohicanland since moving south from New York, though we didn't even know we were IN Mohicanland till more recently.
Anyway, enjoy the mountains ... though they may not be white!
Our Online guide (link below) has some suggestions, plus links to all filming counties' Chambers ... hope that'll help.
And ... no Christmas Page this year ... sorry folks! Oh, you didn't notice? :)
: Well, originally my father and I had planned to head over to Scotland for Christmas (this being the first holiday after mom's passing and REALLY not wanting to be here at home, as you can imagine...) but exorbitant fares being asked us by the airlines, we were left bereft of ideas. And then yours truly thought...where would SHE like to be on Christmas morning? Hmmm...what could be better than MOUNTAINS?? So guess where we're going? ASHEVILLE. With jaunts to the surrounding countryside. Tried to book a place at the Grove Park (is that the correct name...sorry...caffeine deficit...) but ended up at the Renaissance (???) Does anyone know about this hotel? And anyone have any suggestions of what to check out, besides the obvious? I'm hoping to check out some live music and do some shopping. Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated.
