Fort Bedford at Raestown
Colony of Pennsylvania
Brother Malcolm has outdone himself again, and the lads are talking of going to the Captain with a request for his promotion to Sergeant. With his rendition of our Grandmother MacWilliam's story of Stone Soup, he has the whole village making preperations for the largest feast we have seen since landing here in this colony. We will surely make up for the lean times of the last few months tonight.
The meal will be ready before dusk, and we will all take part in the feasting as no guards are to be posted until later. We are thankful for these townfolk and the kindness they are offering, but, I must admit it was Malcolm's story that loosened their attitudes towards us.
Thanks to Hannah MacWillam for the story!
