: : T'is with unabashed pride that the following announcement is made:
: : Olivia Grace, daughter of Jennifer and Chip Rearick, grandaughter of Seamus and Nancy, the (former)dark haired lass, entered this world today, November 30, 2000, St. Andrew's Day, at 2:03 PM. She weighed 6 lbs 13 oz, and measured 19 1/2 inches long. She is Chip and Jenny's first, our fourth grandchild.

: Congratulations to Chip and Jenny!...and to the proud grandparents. A new addition to a family is always a special time!!!
: I just have one question, though...did Nancy just get a gray hair? Since just recently she has become the (former) dark-haired lass.
: From one other dark-haired lass that sha'nt have much hair left if she keeps pluckin'.

well, Diana--the (former) dark haired lass has been graying up for quite sometime...and should probably be called Nancy, the gray haired lass! Her son-in-law, Chip, (I take no claim on this!) calls her "Old Gray" and gets away with it. If I tried that, I am DEAD! And now that little Olivia is here, Chip will probably strike on bolder and bolder, and live to tell of it. He's quite the character...that's why we love him so much!
For our purposes here in the Chronicles, she will STILL be Nancy, the dark haired lass...and always will be. However, when we are not time warping, I may, on occasion, sneak a reference to...ahem...other colors...ahem...natural colors...which are attributed to 1)kids, 2)stress, 3)genetics, or 4) the (stand back! I'm gonna say it!) process of aging.
Thanks for the kind wishes!
Pax Aye!
