The niece and nephew read the last post by Corporal MacWilliam and wondered what St. Andrew's Day is all about. I explained it to them, November 30, a day to celebrate the feast day of the patron saint of Scotland, to fly the Cross of St. Andrew, to eat haggis and toast "Scotia" with Scotch (well, maybe not for Hiram and Hannah..some apple juice for them), to sing Scotland the Brave and Wha Will Ye No Fight For Charlie, to wear the great kilt and the bonnet, to swing the broadsword and brandish the dirk, etc., etc., etc.

So, they asked me: Dr. Uncle Mark, what do you think the people of Mohicanland will do to honor Scotland and the memory of St. Andrew? There's the question that the niece and nephew are wondering about! What say ye, folk of Mohicanland? What will make St. Andrew's Day, November 30, the celebration of all things Highland, special for you?

If the blood is hot, the heart is Highland!!

Pax Aye!!

Dr. Uncle Mark, the MacWilliam sept of clan Gunn from the far northern regions of Scotia, of Caithness and the Orkney Isles. Scotia Go Bragh!
