Huzzah, huzzah!! I still see myself as fairly new to the Board (me and all my characters, relatives, friends), and still don't understand why some of the posts, discussions, etc. go so far afield; what LOTM has to do with some of the messages, etc.; but that's OK, it's not my Board....but I do (basically) stay out of political discussions, gun control, etc., etc....although I have very strong feelings.

You are right....that this Board should be dedicated to...
"The Last Of The Mohicans or the struggles & life ways along the frontier"....it's what the MacWilliam clan strives to do.

Discussion is good, but I have little belief that in expressing my views I can change someone else's. Therefore, I am usually quiet on certain "explosive" topics. Although I am a gun owner and a hunter and a meat eater, I will defend others' rights NOT to own a gun, NOT to hunt, and NOT to eat meat. Enough said....

Back to the mid-1700s for me, everything was just as corrupt as today, but at least I could lose myself in the woods for awhile and forget "civilized ways!!"
