: : You are a dear, dear person Marcia. Thanks so much for your wishes and this touching poem. If you were here, why I'd jump up on the chair, leap from chair to table and give you a great big hug. I am still cleaning mustard seed out of my hair (we use that instead of rice ya know). I have yet to catch up with that woman and her Huron cronies who were throwing mouse terds instead of mustard seed as we left though.
: Dear Gnomie,
: Pay no attention to that wretched woman with the mouse droppings. You KNOW who your friends are!! And we are here in PLENTY, let me tell you! Didja notice Miss Marcia weeping ever so softly & genteely into her lace trimmed hanky? And what about Sassy, standing in the back trying not to sniffle, but ready to sprinkle some of her magical "Happy Ever After" dust on yer wee little heads as you came back down the eensy little aisle? I noticed that even Miss Paddletale was honking softly into her wing feathers, trying not to become over excited and begin sqawking too loudly during the ceremony.
: And Miss Katie O' Arbroath? Well, that teeny, tiny little patchwork quilt she made ye was a thing of beauty, and every stitch sewn with love! Surely THAT ranks higher than any ol' mousedropping dropper. I noticed that Red was wearing her BEST wench blouse, and trying hard not to leer at yer Scottish cousins who showed up in the smallest of wee kilts. And when yer 4th cousin on yer mother's side...Hummingbirdeye...showed up in his eensy weensy liddle loincloth, why Gadget Girl was good as gold. They were ALL just watching you and your beautiful Gnomette whisper your sweet little vows under your mossy mushroom. Not a dry eye in the glade, I tell you!
: I'll warrant you'll soon be hearing from more of the folks who attended the ceremony, attesting to how moving and beautiful it all was! Most of 'em are probably still in a daze from the sheer romance of it all...dabbin' at their eyes and sighing deep sighs! Just you wait! Right, Mohicanland?
: Anyway, I'm drinking a toast to you as I type...a fresh brewed cup of my favorite Earl Gray tea...ahhhhhh...nectar of the gods! Here's to BillyGnome & BettyGnomette! May their happiness and joy be 20 times bigger than THEY are! ;o)
: Love,
: MMMM

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Gnome,
Yes! I was THERE, I tell ya'! I was the lady in the corner, (dressed in the latest haute couture, dontcha know!) in the tartan shawl!! I saw the whole thing! I SAW the wee man in the red pointy hat look with adoring eyes, at his wee lady love! I HEARD that little man pledge his undying love to his chosen partner and I CRIED sofly when his lady pledged her love in return! It was such a poignant moment, there in the glade, under that soft grey mushroom! Such as perfect moment in time - and one I shall never forget! *happy sob*
And the feast afterwards - oh, my! T'was a sight to behold! But it was the DANCING that I shall always remember! We birled and heuched to the wee fiddles and pipes, as if our feet had wings!! My apologies on behalf of 'Red..' and 'Gadget Girl'! Wasn't it strange how their shoelaces seemed to need tightening JUST as one of your cousins whirled past with a waggle o' their kilts!! 'Unseemly' I call it!! Oh, Wah-tah-heck, it was good, clean fun! :o)
Thank you for inviting me to your magical marriage bash!! I had a GREAT time!! *sigh*
A toast to you and your fair lady, sir!!
Slainte mhath!
Miss Katie.
