: Excellent, HM!! Here in Canada we observe Rememberance Day by wearing poppies and at 11 AM all Canada will honour our brave veterans with 2 minutes of silence.. We will never forget!!

Hi Bea,
I think a lot of Commonwealth countries observe Remembrance Day in the way that you mentioned. We certainly do. In fact, I was reading on the Royal British Legion website that observance of the two minute silence has seen a big revival since 1995, with 72% of the British population observing the silence in 1998. To me, this is very encouraging.
