: : Bottom line? I couldn't take it anymore. I have heard, from reliable sources, every possible scenario ... from total devastion to mere underbrush burning. Most leaned towards the former. So, despite feeling ill, I decided to go ahead, as planned. I expected the very worst; hoped for a miracle.

: Thanks so much for the good news.  It would have been hard to stand at Table Rock and see only blackened, dead forest.  I'm so glad it looks OK.  I can't wait to see the pictures.  I'm glad too that you were feeling well enough again to make the trip.
