Yes, Lincoln is one of those special American personalities. I have read many of his biographies, etc., etc....he was a complex man and very human.....he had a very sad life, but did not push his problems and depressions onto others for sympathies. Lincoln often had the "hypos" as he called depression, and with what he had to deal with, both politically and personally, no wonder!!!

A great man, a common man who did uncommon deeds!!
