I had a friend when I was in the navy about 15 years ago. He was Inuit. He spoke of rituals of his own people but told me that it would be a rare occasion that a white person would be allowed to witness them. I have regretted over the years not having spent more time with him, just talking. (I was dating his best friend so I thought it would be inappropriate.) My loss.
