: : : ".... and so Seamus was taken off by Uncle Quasi, Uncle Angus and the army of sheep. Many Flags and Three Tales went back to Berks County and raised a pack of children and, well, Corporal MacWilliam, Davey Gunn and the 77th hobnob around Penn's Woods for awhile, then get shipped south to the tropics, come back in 1763 to fight the savages at Bushy Run and, well, get mustered out and return to their families in Scotland. End of story. Now, be off with you, me lovely Buckos. I should be getting back to your Aunt Linda. It's been too many days I've been away from her, while telling you these Chronicles and carting you from Fort Frederick to Fort Ligonier!"
: : : Dr. Uncle stood up and stretched. He was dressed in longhunter fashion - long shirt, breech clout, leggins and moccassins. Hannah and Hiram stood there in astonishment. Father rustled his newspaper, and returned to reading about some golf game. And Mother, well she peeked up from the crafts she was working on, sneaking a look at the clout as Dr. Uncle stretched. When Dr. Uncle Mark caught her eye, she looked away and blushed.
: : : "But Dr. Uncle Mark", Hannah whimpered, "that can't be the end of the Chronicles. There has to be more, there just has to be more."
: : : Hiram pulled at Dr. Uncle's right leggin (which made Mother sneak another peek!), "Dr. Uncle, you have to tell us more. Won't there be a Chronicles III. I thought you told us that all of the MacWilliam cousins meet up again at Fort Bedford for Christmas. Huh, Dr. Uncle, huh?"
: : : Dr. Uncle gathered his dear little rugrats into his arms. "Aye, you little savages. They do all meet again at Christmas, and by candlelight celebrate with rum punch, haggis, plum pudding and black bun. All the good things of life! Sooooo, whoopeee!! I'm going home to see my lovely Linda and, well, if your Mother and Father allow me to come back in a few weeks to visit, I'll tell you some more about our brave ancestors. And, I suppose you could call them the Chronicles III. Why not!! Why not, indeed, me wee bairns!"
: : : Dr. Uncle looked over at the Mother and Father. "What say ye, you old fogies. Can I tell more stories to my wee darlings?"
: : : "Humph!", grumbled the Father and he found the obituary column to read.
: : : "Well, if you must!", whined the Mother as she picked up part of her crafts' materials which had fallen on the floor...and, as she sneaked another peek!
: : : "Yippee!", cried the niece and nephew. "That means yes, yes, yes!! Hurry back, Dr. Uncle Mark. Hurry back and begin the Chronicles III!"
: : : And so it goes. Pax Aye!
: : >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
: : What wonderful stories!! Yes indeed!! PLEASE 'hurry back and begin the Chronicles III'!!
: : Kate.
: Seconded Here Kate!!!! Take a well deserved break and we'll be waiting patiently to hear how wonderful, darling, silver throated Seamus does get along. ...Oh yea, and the other guys too!
: Just kidding OF COURSE! We love you all!!!!
