Magua's Firearm?

Can anyone tell me what type of long gun Magua was carrying? In looking at some replicas it looks like a Trade Gun of some sort, or possibly a cut down Fowler. Also I would like to say that Im new to this site. Im a big LOTM fan and you are my kind of folks!!
