: I really wanted to stay out of this entirely but eventually felt obliged to seek some balancing overview; not only in regards to this thread but posts in general. The personal element that naturally develops from frequent participation is both a blessing & a curse. Sometimes it unleashes expectations from others that simply won't materialize & sometimes it forces people to feel obliged to say this or that, even though they'd rather say nothing. Very often, we misread the causes of non replies, too. Take the MacW Chronicles; very little feedback along the way & now, when news comes of its closing, so many post their comments & praises! It goes to show, you never really know why some posts stir the blood & others sit, vanquished in isolation.
