: To all Mohicanland Folk:
: I've been reading the posts on "reviews" and while what Mike and I have been doing (Chrons I and Chrons II) is not a novel, it could be classified historical fiction. I was wondering what the thoughts of you folks were concerning the MacWilliam Chronicles series. We have had fun doing it, but we're not sure the posts have been worthwhile in educating folk about the Forbes Expedition of 1758, this being our primary goal.
: Mike (as Seamus, Uncle Quasi, Timothy, and Nancy) and myself (as Many Flags, Corporal MacWm., Ossian Gunn, and Dr. Uncle with nephew and niece), put a lot of research into the postings, the facts coming from original 18th century maps and writings, for example.. Colonel Bouquet's letters.
: But, we believe we must bring them to an end with the battle of Ligonier which will be fought the second week of October. Maybe a postscript will follow detailing the fall of Fort Duquesne in November of 1758 (actually, the French just packed up and left....after burning the fort....never leave a fortification behind for the enemy to possess!!....believe this has something to do with chess, also.)
: So, there you have it! The MacWilliam cousins and all their comrades are about to take a vacation.
: Pax Aye!

DUM: Now you've done it!!!! I had pictures in my mind of all the various characters, and now I find out there are only two of you! It's equivalent to finding out DDL smokes 4 packs a day.
So, like Dana and Rich, I understand needing a vacation, but come cold weather, when the Christmas baking is all done, the baskets are stuffed with goodies to deliver, and the kids are off playing they're latest game, it would be nice to have new Chronicles to read and another time and place to dream of. Don't be gone too long, we'd miss you terribly.
