: : : : : Saw in a previous post that you are a big fan of Ralph Fiennes. Sorry, but I beg to differ.  Did anybody see the English Patient? Heard it was a real tear jerker & to bring a lot of tissues.  The movie so choppy (scenes jumping back & forth) that Debbie & I kept telling ourselves OK maybe the tear scene is coming up next.  Before you know it - they are rolling the credits!!!  I kid you not for I shed not a tear during the movie.  Can anybody honestly say they liked it?  Not us!  One of the few movies that made me wish for a refund.  The other was End Of Affair starring Julianne Moore.  I actually fell asleep during the movie.

: : : : Vince:  Couldn't agree with you more about The English Patient.  Thought it took far too long for everybody to die.  Haven't seen  End of the Affair, but mostly because I haven't wanted to.  It was Strange Days that MMMM and I love RF in - he just makes a great and sexy sleaze.....   NightSky

If somebody were to point a gun (or tomahawk) at me & forced me to watch Strange Days (or another of his movies) and if I were to dislike it then it's three strikes against RF.  He will permanently remain on my lower than lowest caste (pun intended) list.  VK

: : Vince:  Believe me, Strange Days is nothing like the other two movies, totally different.  And if you don't mind two hours of watching a buffed up Angela Bassett kick butt as a body guard (and dressed in black leather, I might add), then you might actually enjoy it.  Tom Sizemore also gives a great performance.  It's not a great movie, but if nothing else, it gives RF a chance to be something other than the laconic sloth he is in TEP.  NightSky

: I agree with almost all said about Ralph Fiennes's films, including a ridiculous Wuthering Heights, but I thought him very good in Schindler's List and perfecto in Quiz Show.  I believe he's very talented, but has not always lucked out with vehicles.
