Dear High and Esteemed King
My gripe is not with you. You have endeavored to be fair with me and let me cry to my heart's content.
However, my last cry in LOTMLand, encouraged by my heart and ordered by the Publicant aka Tax Collector, has fallen upon deaf ears.
Indeed, no one has shown up at Bumppo's to discuss/debate/dissect/praise a certain work of literature, penned by a longtime LOTMLand resident. This resident, who is an extremely talented scribe and who has terrific insight into the era LOTMLLand is all about, has preferred to remain anonymous, and now, I can see why.
True, there was a long weekend, but the Publicant informs me that this is not a good enough excuse, for the long weekend has come and gone,we are all back, head-count is almost perfect with the exception of Bill R. and Seamus, the weekend posts/crys are prominent on the TowneSquare, and still no one at Bumppo's!
I hear that the Publisher of the establishment called The Rose, will ring her own bell this Saturday morn, inviting all and sundry to Bumppo's starting Sunday afternoon.
But this is the Publisher, and it beats me why this person would like to ring a bell, considering mine has fallen upon deaf ears before!
My dear King, I have sworn and wowed and decided to repair myself to a quiet corner under No Man's Tree to meditate upon Magua's charms versus Eden's Winter. To be fair to the issue on hand, I shall have Magua's poster as well as the tome-in-the-works, in the center of my vision whilst I ping-pong the mysteries of sex and the printed word.
Yours truly and ever so humbly,
