: : Thanks Rich!
: : I think I'll check out the movie 'Blink'. Caitlin suggested it as well. As for Maddie's performance in LOTM, it would be impossible to imagine any other actress in the part, she portrayed the character so beautifully. It's very sad that she wasn't able to continue to find parts that showcased her talents.

: I think you've hit it on the head, Jeri...it isn't that Madeleine is a BAD actress, IMHO, it's just that she either hasn't been offered decent roles, or has simply been making dismal choices of the parts she wants to play. I think she's CAPABLE of playing another Cora, but she certainly isn't moving in that direction. However, after reading several interviews that she's given, I've come away with the impression that as much as I LOVE Cora, I would probably dislike our Maddy completely. Interviews are probably not the best way to determine what a celebrity is like, but anyone who constantly comes across as shallow, vain & somewhat dirty-minded, in interview after interview, is probably at least a BIT shallow, vain & dirty-minded. Where there's smoke...?
: Anyway, I don't have to think highly of an actor's personal life to enjoy their art, but I sure wish Madeleine would give us something of a higher caliber to watch, for a change.
: Just my thoughts.

: PS: For me, The General's Daughter, Blink, Revenge, & StakeOut were okay. Twelve Monkeys was a bit better, though not because Maddy's character was anything special. I love anything with Alan Rickman in it, so I'd probably like Closet Land, but haven't seen it, yet. And I usually avoid Nicholson like the plague and hated China Town the first time around, so probably would NOT watch Two Jakes.
Hi Marcia,
Interesting about the interviews with Maddie and the way she comes across in them. Are any of them online? I'd really be interested in reading them.
Thanks..Jeri
