: : So yeah, it's hard to view the film with the same innocence that we once did ... we now know who threw up where just before what scene, and other delightful little tidbits. We know there's a road down there below those cliffs, that 1757 Albany is really 1991 Asheville, etc. etc.
: OK, Rich. I'll bite. Who threw up where before what scene?

Proof that great Mohicanland minds think alike, Chris! I was JUST about to post the same question!
Yeah, who yacked and when and where????
and I have none of these same feelings about LOTM because I haven't been to a Gathering yet, but I know what you guys are saying. I've been through it with music. It all depends on who you hang out with and how they experience the same thing you're epxeriencing. For instance, I used to love Kansas. Then one time I went to see them with a wacko who stood next to me and whispered "DUCKS in the wind...all they are is DUCKS in the wind" during that whole song...and for the rest of my life I've never been able to sing or hear "Dust in the Wind" without picturing waterfowl being buffetted by winter breezes...
