: : My dear Madam (Madam as in the English expression of courtesy, not the US expression of.......well, you know.....)
: : You are truly a lady of elegance and class to make such a generous offer to a working girl such as myself. I am most interested in several items you have mentioned and think that you may find a new customer in Doc Mary - I am sure that any 'harness attachment' you have for sale would swiftly find a place in her clinic. Dweebie may be interested in anyhing which provides........er........uplift.
: : Might I suggest a full page ad in The Courier, or if you wish to REALLY get everyone's attention - how about a post on the door of Bumppo's Tavern? Everyone goes thru there sooner or later.
: : Anyway, my compliments to you Madam, and best wishes for the prosperity of your new establishment.

: My dear Madame Strumpet:
: Thank you for your helpful suggestions. I have been indeed thinking of advertising at Bumppo's but in the form of a live fashion show featuring the exclusive couture of HH. Perhaps during afternoon luncheon, when Bumppo's is more likely to draw a crowd that will minimize acts of assault on my models (among whom I hope to have some of Mohicanland's most prestigious citizens...might you and your employees consider wearing some of my more outre inventory to the event? And the ladies are welcome to keep the items, with my compliments). The luncheon will be followed by a "Ladies Only" event, for viewing select accoutrements for the Mohican male. The Huron Delivery Service has already volunteered several of their employees to work this affair..though I was puzzled by their request to style their segment as "Fashions by Firelight".
: I must hie myself back to my needles and thread. One of my clients has put a "Rush" on her pink ruffled petticoat and chemise ensemble...from my Tart ala Francaise collection.
: Hoping to do business with you soon,
: Lady Ann
Is anybody missin'????? Doc M, did Nathaniel come home last night???
I wouldn't be surprised after the uproar that went on at Bumppo's last night. Mrs. O'Reilly and I were up until SUNRISE puttin' the back room back together after that Arabian Nights hootchy-kootchy what was goin' on in there all night! I've never seen such a culturally mixed up bunch o'debauchery in all my days. Drunk Hurons an' Cherokees an' Dweebie an' a few trappers what strayed in, doin' Jameson's shooters and recitin' Yeats. The Turkish Trader and Eclair and the Yengeese Strumpet and several other Mohicanlanders shimmyin' around to that flute music, recitin' aloud that Omar fellas' poetry, and then Eclair and the Turkish Trader goin' off and...well, I'm not about to go into what I saw out back. I'm just not. I've always held that what a Wench sees is much like the priest's confessional...ye take it to yer grave...(but Eclair, where DID you learn that gymnastic technique?)
Well, it's not that I'm complainin' at all. It's just that when I asked for some "entertainment" suggestions I didn't know it'd be like that. I must say ye all know how to throw an evenin's entertainment unlike any me green eyes have ever seen.
And now Lady Ann, about this Highland Habiliment. Since the tips have been rollin' in at Bumppo's, I'd like to see ye about some specially made Wench blouses. And I'd be glad and willin' to serve as a model for ye any time ye'd like. I've a fancy for things lacy and frilly and rather low cut, if ye know what I'm sayin'. I'll even prance about in one of them super-accessorizedfoundation garments if ye ask, as long as ye keep Dweebie away from the front row. By the way, I suggest the Huron Delivery Boy as a special model. I believe the young man has talents way beyond bearin' packages!
Waitin' eagerly to come for me fittin'....
