: : : : : : : : : : : All I can say is WOW what a man! What are the type of pants he's wearing? It doesn't look like he was wearing anything under them :)
: : : : : : : : : : : Thanks again
: : : : : : : : : : Hi Tonya,
: : : : : : : : : : LOL...I believe he's wearing leggings with a breechclout and a loin cloth over top. With Uncas, however, our imaginations tend to run wild.
: : : : : : : : : : ...Jeri
: : : : : : : : : ~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>
: : : : : : : : : Really, Tonya, let's be mature about this.;) Uncas is dressed in a perfectly acceptable and decent fashion. Very appropriate for the year 1757. It would only be RUDE to stare. It's JUST a breechclout. Calm down.;) You don't see Cora going ape over it, do you? You're new, right? Well, we don't get all worked up over loincloths here in MohicanLand.:))) It goes against our well-bred natures.
: : : : : : : : : Speaking of class...Chigachgook wins first place in my book. Remember, Ching probably taught Uncas and Hawkeye everything they knew. Ching is THE man.
: : : : : : : : : Just adding a little balance...:)

: : : : : : : : Here I was, canning tomatos, minding my own business, when this tickling sensation in the back of my mind just told me that someone, somewhere, was discussing our favorite subject. What a surprise it should be this site! After Rich's recent "capture," the subject has once again come to the forefront.
: : : : : : : : Speaking of loin clothes, since I'm looking at sewing up the proverbial required attire for BT, I told him he needed to go to a tanning bed, as he has the whitest butt cheeks this side of DDL. I think that's where ES has it over DDL, it's the color of those lovely hips.
: : : : : : : : Have a good one! Back to the stove. NS
: : : : : : : ~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>
: : : : : : : Manohman, NightSky! I'd trade all the loinclothes in the world for one of your tomatoes on some grilled Texas toast and a big glass of sweet tea!
: : : : : : : Dana S.
: : : : : : Oh, Ms. Dana: I was thinking of you the other day when I was searching for one vacant spot on my counter on which to put one more tomato. My favorite "Celebrity's" are about 1-1/2 lbs. each and the size of a healthy softball. One slice does a burger in. And the sweet tea is in the fridge, so come on down. I even have some fresh ham salad I just made with our homemade pickle relish that would be perfect in one of those lovely tomatos. (Hmmmmm, think I know what's for supper now.)
: : : : : : If we were to gather later in the season next year (say September), there'd be a mighty healthy bushel of the big red ones headed for Chimney Rock. (Maybe that will tempt Rich into a firm answer.) Along with green beans canned in spring water, watermellon from the patch, bread & butter pickles, and fresh herbs to liven everything up. All organic and delicious. I bet we could even convince Miss Marcia to bring along some fuuuuuudge!
: : : : : : Starting to sound like a plan, do ya think?
: : : : : : NS
: : : : : WATERMELON....TOMATOES BIG AS SOFTBALLS....HAM SALAD...
: : : : : Nightsky you'd best remember Cecelia and I live close enough for a road trip to the VA Blue Ridge, and these are just the trappings that get our attention.
: : : : : If I were you I'd cease and desist (however that's spota-had been said) this talk this instant if you don't want no mouths-a-waterin' Mohicanites whining on your doorstep!
: : : : : Oh and I forgot to add last post - Greetings to the BT and the boys!!!
: : : : : *trying to keep mind on work AND NOT on tomato slices on grilled burgers...green beans in SPRING WATER...and MmMmMm-bread and butter pickles...*
: : : : : Di
: : : : Wow, NS, I'm only down in South Carolina! I could be up in Virginia within five hours....we've let our tomato garden go way to seed and I could die for some big red fresh 'maters with salt 'n' pepper on 'em...and some of them pickles!
: : : : If anybody's feeling hungry or sociable and wants to come to Columbia, can't offer you any 'maters, but I could whip up some Scottish eggs, Slovak-style bow-tie pasta and stuffed cabbages.
: : : : (there are some bizarre culinary advantages to being both Celtic and Eastern European in heritage...)

: : : Well now! I couldn't care less about loincloths, but FOOD is another matter entirely!!! Food can get me going for sure. Which is pretty much why you didnt see ME shinnying up that skinny tree to the deck of the cabin!!! How about fried GREEN tomatoes? Corn of the cob - Silver Queen preferably? Bar-b-qued ribs (no, not Duncans OR the gnomes). Fresh green beans from the garden steamed and saute'ed with sliced almonds in creamy butter?

: : Sounds deeeeeeeelicious to me, Bill. So how's Saturday night? Say...sixish?

: ooooh, oooooh, me too, me too *jumping up and down, waving hand in air*.........room for one more at your table Billy?
: Adele
Adele, dear, there is ALWAYS room at our table for you. And Dana. Even Doc Mary for that matter, but first we would have to clear the table and pull the chairs out - cause she is either ON the dang thing dancing, or UNDER the dang thing stinko!
