: just doesnt faze her unless to insult her. Even trying to find a way to compensate all those descendents and survivors is almost an insult. HOW MUCH is fair compensation for the demise of an entire several generations of a particular "tribe"? Their demise touches us all and robs us all of their contributions down the ages. We all suffer for it.

Right, Bill. Excellent post. Your remarks are strikingly illustrated by the issue of compensation for the (descendants of the) Holocaust victims, which is hotly debated in Holland right now.
