: : : Good to see that "The Last of the Mohicans" is standing up well to the test of time! The above article, passed along by Bertha Boucher, came out recently as LOTM was being shown on TNT/TBS ... I suppose it's Canadian? Don't know for sure ...

: : : Finally made some time to hook up the DVD player to our video capture device, watch the movie, and take pictures ... What a treat!  As we decided on what images to shoot & use on the Site (and, I should add, we shot a LOT more than we used, and probably SHOULD have captured a lot more ... just in case! Ah, EXCESS!) ... running stuff in slo-mo, frequently pausing, backing up, a little forward ... you know ... trying to get what we wanted (not always succeeding, either! :( ... ) ... one thing became apparent, Magua & Alice stole the show! Forget UNCAS & Alice, it's MAGUA & Alice ... THEY'RE the couple! And not just on the cliff scene ... THROUGHOUT! We found the two of them to be the most "photogenic" ... such expressions! Masterful work by both of them, Wes Studi & Jodhi May! I'm amazed that we learned something new, even after "studying" this film for so long! Anyhow, hope you all enjoy the captures we DID come up with.

: : : Will keep this short, as my tongue IS sore (thanks Victoria!) from biting hard on it ... next time I run into one General Custer, Bill, I WILL ask him! Is there still gold in them thar hills? As you may know, it was an 1874 expedition, led by Custer, that discovered gold in the Black Hills, that led to the taking of these scared grounds, that led to Little Bighorn in 1876.

: Great update, Rich.  I love the captures!  Particularly, the scene where the carriage pulls up to headquarters and a bad-tempered, 'why am I here in this God-forsaken land' Duncan gets out. Though to be honest, it ain't Duncan that catches my eye here... ;0) Yup, good work!

: Well, Bill, 'Gnome Squashing' is only something I do when SORELY provoked!! Normally, I'm a 'live and let live' kinda person, but any more o' THAT kinda talk, and UN or no UN laws, you may find betting on my ability to hurl boulders pays HUUUUUUGE dividends!!! :0)
