: Dear 'Red',
: Hmmm, 'honourably' employed?? Well, if you SAY so... but I wouldn't like to think you were giving us Scots lasses a bad name!! 'Sally Free And Easy', I AIN'T!!!
: However, I am not above partaking of a little shortbread, or Dundee cake, and a wee whisk.. 'Irn Bru', while engaging in the age old custom of 'welcoming the new girl'.
: A toast - Here's to us - 'Wha's Like Us? Damn Few and They're A' Deid'...

Well, howdy-do, Miss Katie! How's tricks (pahdon the expression) over to the Quilt Shoppe these days? I do hope y'all are keepin' busy, a-stichin' and a-patchin'. I heard you were plannin' to drop by the Huron Happy Hour at Bumppo's Tavern tonight to help welcome the Red-Haired Lass to our fine community. Now, you KNOW I'm not a Tavern kinda gal, bein' very RE-fined and genteel and such. However, I think it would be extremely rude of me not to join the welcoming party for a wee nip or six. So, I'll just stir up a big ol' platter of my Famous DownHome Fuu-uuuuuudge and a basket of crispy squirrel fritters for munchin' on with our drinks, toss on my newest posh frock, and stop by your place about 8:00, so we can walk over together. (I'd be way too timid to go in the front door of that type of establishment without a friend to help bolster my courage, doncha know.)
Hope this meets with your approval.
Yours Most Graciously,
Miss Marcia
